Spring 2016

michelle-morris-adams-tito-roxy-luckyWelcome Pet Lovers!

Ah, Spring, a terrific time for newness, renewal, regeneration and rebirth for our love of life, people, and of course, pets. Nature is awakening! Calendars are filling up with many fun-filled events for all members of the family including our furry children. This means more walks with our dogs, playtime with our cats, and more treats are exactly the recipe needed for such a glorious season.
Spring is also our health issue, and we’re featuring an article by Tricia Deed about commercial dog food and what  is healthy for your Fido. As well, an article by Ryan Mutt about Cat Diabetes Symptoms, Diet and Treatment.  Don’t forget its Animal Cruelty Prevention Month  and  National Pet First Aide Awareness Month in April and Chip your Pet Month in May. It’s  also when we embark on kitten season. So, please remember to Spay/Neuter! For additional information on pet-themed occasions, please visit the calendar on our website.
This Spring is also about many other important pet-themed occasions that serve as helpful reminders for pet lovers to focus on.  Now that it’s beautiful outside, does your Fido need training?  Please checkout  ”Calm K9’s” ad and article. Or, maybe you need to be reminded of the many great vets in the world, one in our very own community, Dr Laurie, Animal Clinic of Benicia. She has created a wonderful fund that assists animals in with emergency vet bills. Please read about the Angels Fund and consider donating to them, you’d be helping an animal in need.
We hope you enjoy this issue as much as we enjoyed putting it together. As always, our passion, our purpose is to provide educational articles that inform, inspire and encourage you. We hope they also serve as a reminder of what is truly important to all of us – celebrating and cultivating the incredible bond that exists between pets and people.
As always, we are humbled by the kindness of your attention and your mention to our advertisers that your visit has sprung from seeing them here.

Thank you for your continued support and readership.
